rendezvous mit einem oktopus is an editorial design project created at university, exploring the portrayal of the octopus through three different perspectives. referring to the documentary "my octopus teacher", the publication moves from a scientific introduction to the human perception of the animal, and finally to an imagined view of how the octopus might perceive the human. developed together with rosa blask and jessica bittner, the project was designed as an alternative to a conventional magazine format, using thin 50g newspaper paper folded from din a2 into six pages. this created space for twelve pages of content on one side and a poster on the other, allowing the reader to remove and keep the print as a separate piece.
